We talked to a few outfits before the Calco guy came around. We could see the quality and feel materials. Calco has a game plan from the call, knock on door, measuring and then presentation, schedule and installation. They had creative ideas for us to save money and lower the estimate. None of those were skipping steps or cheaper materials by the way. The installation looked like a camera on triple speed. They walked up 2 sets of stairs with everything and down to leave. They went from 65 yr old homemade tub installation to a walk in entrance into another world. When we cross the threshold we leave your world behind. The amazing shower head and wand are perfect for us. At 78 we got handrails and a teak fold down bench. I quickly realized I hadn’t been able to wash between my toes because of balance issues. A foot on the bench and a hand on the rail? Hello Mister Foot hadn’t seen you in a while, and your welcome toes. We’re putting in a washer dryer tower. Just think, a hot plate and a dorm refrigerator, 2 bags of sand and a sun lamp AND WE WILL VACATION FOR FREE. No canceled planes, no delayed trains or automobiles and Door Dash on speed dial. Thank you Calco. We’ll invite you to the BBQ opening but only room for one of you. BYORHaS Bring Your Own Rain Hat and Soap.

We had a tricky project (turning a large walk-in shower into a wet-room style bath and shower combo) and the process was still very easy! Our craftsmen Ed and Josh were both phenomenal, not just doing great work but also being kind and personable (my toddlers were both huge fans!). Val is a dream as well, communicating in a timely and direct manner. Even as far back in our project as our initial appointment was memorable, Neill was pleasant and informative!

Sales consultation was handled very well and Daniel was very responsive and helpful. Sample contract was shared ahead of time and the guarantee they offered was excellent. Once contracted, staff was consistently in touch. A couple small glitches around scheduling but we didn't have to wait long. Installation of walk-in shower went well with team of Tim and Dakota. Took a second day and required them to come back a week later to patch up some damaged walls and flooring. But their follow-up work was also very professional.

We have been extremely impressed with the team at Calvin, from the salesman, to the installation team of Matt Pierce and Anthony and even the office assistant , Christie, who kept was informed weekly and asked if we were satisfied the workmanship of the bathrooms are super! Matt and Anthony were very professional and asked questions through the projects. Our shower was enlarged and it look like it was always that way only much nicer! The other project invoked repealing a tub with a shower and it also turned out wonderful. I would definitely recommend Calco and our team of Matt Pierce and Anthony !!!

I honestly don’t have the words to describe not only how thrilled I am with our new bathroom….but how amazed I still am at the Professionalism, Work ethic, Proficiency, And kindness of the whole crew from top to bottom. These guys were in and out in 4 1/2 days- and we had a WHOLE bathroom remodel. I kept thinking during the process, Man, these guys are like machines (They rarely ever take a break) …. Or maybe they are robots. Hahahaha! I know that this sounds extreme, But I’m not exaggerating- At every step of the way, they were wonderful. I am so glad that we chose Calco, And we will be using them again. If you are on the fence- do it!! I can promise you will not be disappointed!!!!

My name’s Zac Jack. I’m a doughy, 37 year old stand-up comedian, and I’ve been a stay-at-home dad since emo was a thing, so when my bathroom finally started to literally melt under the strain of my utter incompetence when it comes to general maintenance, I threw up my hands and started looking for a grown-up to help me un-melt it. I went through a few companies gathering quotes for an entire bathroom remodel and rebuild; I even got messages from the company that had previously done “work” on the bathroom (that’s a hard pass from me, Bath Fitter), and it was looking grim. Have you priced things lately? Especially quality things... I mean, yikes. Enter CalCo. So first thing they did was send someone to do an initial assessment and give us a quote. The quote they gave me was, by orders of magnitude lower than the next lowest. That’s check one. Then they gave us our options. Quality, construction grade materials (not just the lick-and-stick plastic and rubber that SOME companies use, cough cough... Bath Fitter), and in a variety of styles that had options to appeal to both me (I’m tasteless white trash), and my wife (she has extraordinary taste... in decor, not men). There’s check two. Then the work started. Now, I’m an advocate for taking one’s time and doing it right, whatever the schedule. But the choice between expedience and precision craftsmanship was not an issue at all: not only was the crew they sent lickity-split on the job (Shout out my dudes Noah, Mike, Matt, and Jared), but they did incredible, professional work that I am honestly very, very impressed by. (SHOUT OUT MY DUDES NOAH, MIKE, MATT, AND JARED). And there’s the hat trick, because that’s a big ol’ Texas sized CHECK. They took care of everything, and as one room affected the next, they just kept going, kept fixing, kept it moving. And that’s to say nothing about the bathroom itself: it looks BALLER, y’all. It’s now my favorite room in the house, and that’s not just because I have the diet of a possum with access to a credit card. They did amazing work. So, in the interest of brevity, here’s my short review of CalCo: They crushed it. Then they rebuilt it better than ever. 10/10. Hire them when you need your house un-melted. I’m gonna hire them again for the next project, which I’m already planning.

My old bathroom needed to be updated. Calco proposed a very reasonable and attractive plan that I accepted. I am so happy with the finished result. My construction crew were Mickey and Josh. I can’t praise them enough. They are so skilled, so nice, so professional. They addressed every unexpected issue that came up. They did everything - demolition, installment, plumbing, electrical work, painting. They came up with novel solutions to make sure every detail was addressed to our satisfaction. Calco is a company that shows up on time, stays on the job until it’s finished, has top-notch contractors. They made sure to protect the surrounding floors and rooms from any dust and dirt. At the end of the day they cleaned up spotlessly. There are many horror stories out there of remodeling gone wrong. With this company, and especially with Mickey and Josh, you can have complete confidence and guarantee that you will be 100% satisfied. A shoutout to Kristy who is the best contact person. TY!!!!!

We would recommend CALCO for your bathroom renovations. Our craftsmen, Mello and Mike, did a great job converting our tub into a walk-in shower, as well as updating our vanity, flooring, and lighting. Their attention to detail and quality workmanship really showed throughout the project. They provided excellent communication regularly letting us know what was going on and what to expect. Whenever any issues arose, they were quick to find effective solutions with minimal disruption to the work. They also kept our home clean during every phase of the renovation, which helped ensure there was very little impact on our day-to-day routine. Kristi was also wonderful to work with—she checked in regularly from the time we signed the contract, throughout the project, and even after completion to make sure all our questions were answered and everything was running smoothly. The pricing was comparable to the other estimates we received, but CALCO’s service was significantly better. Overall, a very positive experience from start to finish.

We can highly recommend Calco Design LLC. We had a complete master bathroom renovation from the subfloor to some ceiling work. Brand new subfloor, floor boards, toilet, vanity, electrical - top to bottom. The project included the removal of a storage closet that expanded our standup shower into a beautiful masterpiece. Mickey and Josh were both professional and timely, and they included us throughout the process. We will be using Calco for future projects based on this experience, and we will ask for Mickey and Josh where possible.

My parents had a project planned to replace the vanity tops and fixtures in 4 bathrooms, and renovate the shower in the master. My father passed away unexpectedly 2 weeks before the project start date. The team at Calco could not have been more understanding and kind about the situation. My mom keeps a spotless house and we were both impressed at the measures taken to limit the dust and protect the floors and furniture. The bathrooms look beautiful, the craftsmanship is impeccable. There were some miscommunications around scheduling, but the team at Calco made it right as soon as they were alerted. There will be hiccups with any renovation project, how the contractors handle it is the most important. The Calco team made a difficult situation as easy as it could be, and now my mom has beautiful updated bathrooms to bring her some joy.

We had our Master bath completely renovated. We were able to pick out everything we wanted in one meeting. The team began the project at the estimated timeframe and completed only one day past the estimate. This was expected since we did make a couple of changes along the way. The team was very careful with our home, draping every and cleaning and vacuuming up before they left each night. The quality of the material was superior and we are thrilled with our finished bathroom. The project was not cheap, but the quality of the materials and the team that did the work reflected the value of the project

UPDATE: Paul, the principal owner, was extremely responsive to my concerns and has taken huge steps to make sure I’m happy with the end result. I truly appreciate his efforts and am happy to give this company five stars. ORIGINAL REVIEW: The installers—Noah, Matt, & Pierce— were terrific. Skilled, courteous, and exceedingly clean. Five stars for them. The initial contacts with the company were the problem. The salesperson Brandon was over-the-top pushy and high-pressure. It wasn’t until a week after his sales pitch that another employee mentioned in passing that I could visit a showroom and see samples. The process could have gone more smoothly had I been shown actual products or samples at the outset.

What Are the Signs It’s Time for a Shower-to-Tub Conversion?

The decision to swap a shower out for a tub usually doesn’t come from one moment. It builds from a stack of small frustrations, layout problems, and life changes until the math finally tips. Here’s what we hear most often from Lititz homeowners ready to pull the trigger.

The Bathroom Already Looks Dated

The avocado-toned shower from a 1980s remodel, brassy fixtures, the cracked builder-grade pan from a 90s flip in one of the Warwick Township splits. When the whole room is screaming the wrong decade, a tub conversion in Lititz lets you reset around something worth keeping.

Bathing a newborn in a stand-up shower is borderline impossible. Young families filling up homes around the Warwick School District feel this fast, especially in the smaller starter places off East Front Street and along Owl Hill where the second-floor bath was never built with infants in mind.

Lancaster County’s limestone bedrock pushes hard, mineral-heavy water through every fixture in town, and homes on private wells out toward Rothsville take the worst of it. Once that buildup has chewed through the pan, grout, and valves, full demo is the only honest path forward.

Between long workweeks, kids’ schedules, and everything else pulling at your time, a stand-up shower just gets you clean. A tub turns the bathroom into the one room in the house built for actually slowing down, which is exactly what most Lititz homeowners are quietly chasing when they call us.

What Are the Benefits of a Converting Your Shower to a Tub?

A shower-to-tub swap touches more than the fixture itself. It changes how the room functions, how the architecture reads, and how the household moves through its own daily rhythm. Here’s where the payoff actually lands for most Lititz homeowners.

Makes Bath Time Possible Again

Bathing kids, pets, and anyone who needs a hand becomes simple again. After a muddy spring walk along the Warwick-to-Ephrata Rail Trail or a long afternoon in the backyard, a tub gives the family a place to actually clean up without flooding the bathroom floor every time.

The Moravian-era brick homes inside the historic district and the Federal twins along Main Street were originally drawn around tubs, not showers. A shower-to-tub conversion in Lititz restores that proportion and lets the finished bathroom finally read the way the rest of the house already does.

Plenty of Lititz residents are staying put in houses they’ve owned for decades. The right tub install pairs with grab bars, slip-resistant surfaces, and a controlled entry height to make assisted bathing safer, keeping the home livable through every stage of life without forcing a move down the road.

A house with no tub anywhere on the property gets flagged fast in the Lititz market, especially in the family-friendly price points moving quickest around Warwick Township. Adding a tub back puts the floor plan in line with what buyers and appraisers around here actually expect to see.

Our Shower-to-Tub Conversion Process

Every project we run follows the same clear path from first conversation to final walkthrough. The steps below are how we keep shower-to-tub conversions in Lititz moving cleanly without surprises, schedule slips, or the kind of mid-project chaos that makes remodels miserable.

Step 1: In-Home Consultation and Measure

We come out, walk the bathroom with you, and take real measurements. This is where we flag the layout quirks common in older Lititz homes, like cast iron stack placement, plaster walls, knee-wall constraints under second-floor dormers, and any framing issues hiding behind the existing shower that need to be planned for upfront.

Step 2: Design, Material Selection, and Quote

You pick the tub style, finishes, fixtures, and surround materials with our team guiding the choices toward what actually works in your home. We then build a detailed, line-itemed quote so you know the full scope, the timeline, and the final number before a single tile gets pulled off the wall.

Step 3: Demolition and Rough-In

Our crew protects the surrounding floors, hauls out the old shower, and opens the walls. From there we handle plumbing rough-in, any electrical updates the room needs, framing corrections, and fresh waterproofing. This is the stage where the bones of the new bathroom actually get set.

Step 4: Tub Installation and Final Finish

The tub goes in, surround materials are installed, fixtures get set, and grout, caulk, and trim work close everything out. We finish with a full walkthrough so you can sign off on every detail. The bathroom is left clean, functional, and ready to use the same day we wrap.

Why Work with Calco Design & Renovation?

Bathroom remodeling is full of contractors who can install a tub. The harder thing to find is a team that plans the project around your home, your timeline, and your budget without cutting corners or leaving you guessing. That’s the bar we hold ourselves to on every job.

We Know Lititz Homes Inside and Out

We’re a locally-owned-and-operated company that has worked across the full range of Lititz housing stock, from the historic brick homes in the borough to the Warwick Township ranches, the splits off Owl Hill, and the newer builds out toward Rothsville. That experience shapes how we approach every layout, plumbing run, and finish decision.

Our installers are full-time tradesmen, not subcontracted day labor. Every tub set, every waterproofing layer, and every tile cut gets handled by someone who has done it thousands of times. That’s why our finished work still looks sharp years later, even with hard Lancaster County water running through it daily.

You’ll never wonder where your project stands. We give honest timelines, return calls quickly, show up when we say we will, and walk you through every decision in plain language. The remodeling industry has earned its reputation, and we built CalCo specifically to be the opposite of that.

Lititz Shower-to-Tub Conversion FAQs

Most people reach this page with the same handful of questions about cost, timing, and what to actually expect once a crew is in the bathroom. These are the answers we give most often during in-home consultations for a shower-to-tub remodel in Lititz.

How Much Does a Shower-to-Tub Conversion in Lititz Cost?

A typical shower-to-bathtub conversion in Lititz runs $13,000 to $18,000. Where your project lands inside that range depends on bathroom size, material and fixture grade, design complexity, and any plumbing or electrical work the home requires. Premium tile, specialty stonework, and high-end faucets push the number higher.

Yes, in most cases. Lititz Borough and Warwick Township both require permits when plumbing fixtures are relocated, walls are opened, or electrical work is involved. We pull every permit needed and handle inspection scheduling, so your project stays compliant from day one to final sign-off.

Absolutely. Tight footprints are the norm in the historic district and second-floor baths in older Warwick Township homes. We specialize in carving usable space out of cramped layouts and choosing tub profiles that fit short walls, dormered ceilings, and the awkward corners these older bathrooms tend to throw at us.

Every conversion we install carries a lifetime warranty on our proprietary materials. We can stand behind it because we engineered the surfaces ourselves and know exactly how they perform against Lancaster County hard water, humidity, and the kind of daily use Lititz families put their bathrooms through.

In most cases, yes. Single-bath households common in the older homes inside the borough will be without a working bathroom for the install day, so we plan around that. Larger homes with a second full bath upstairs or down rarely feel any disruption beyond noise during work hours.

Most shower-to-tub conversions in Lititz wrap in a single day, covering demo, plumbing rough-in, framing, the tub set, and surround installation. Custom tile patterns, layout reworks, or unforeseen issues behind the wall in older homes can stretch the project across two to three days.

CalCo Design & Renovation stands out because we run every job with a small, focused crew, give straight answers on price and timeline from day one, and stand behind the finished work in writing. There’s no handoff to subs, no surprise charges, no chasing us down for updates.

Ready to Soak It All In?

You’ve been thinking about it long enough. Whether there’s a baby on the way, a stand-up shower that’s seen better days, or a bathroom that’s been quietly missing a tub for years, CalCo Design & Renovation is ready to put it back in. Schedule your in-home consultation today and find out why homeowners across the borough trust us for shower-to-tub conversions in Lititz.
