When this Lititz homeowner first called Calco, they only had one bathroom in mind. The primary suite was built around a large drop-in tub they never used, paired with a walk-in shower that no longer fit how they actually lived. Storage was tight, and the layout just didn’t make sense for them anymore.

The plan was to remove the unused tub and shower, install a larger double vanity, put a spacious new shower where the tub used to be, relocate the toilet, and add a linen cabinet in its place. That gave the room real storage for the first time!

One of the bigger decisions came down to shower size. The homeowners were weighing a standard 60″ shower against something larger and were hesitant about the added cost. Once we measured the space and showed them how much room a 60″ shower would leave empty, the choice got a lot easier. They went with a 76″ walk-in shower that actually fills the space. That shower came with its own challenge! A custom alcove bench seat meant several 90 degree angles to seal properly, so we fused multiple panels of engineered stone together to make sure every seam would hold for decades, not just years.

ALL SAID AND DONE –  The finished space features a double vanity with a quartz countertop and matching storage cabinets, a high-tech toilet, and durable new flooring. The walk-in shower includes matte black fixtures, an ultra soak shower head, and a hand-held slide shower head, plus two corner niches, a square niche, a built-in shower bench, and solid surface walls that extend past the shower for a clean, finished look.

By the time that first bathroom was nearing completion, the homeowners were sold… Not on a pitch, but on the process itself. We brought samples to them, worked around their schedule, and kept the consultation educational instead of pushy. That was enough to bring us back for two more bathrooms on the second floor of their home, and this time they came to us.
